Last week several readers contacted me looking for fashionable plus size A/W wear to stock up on for the incoming freeze approaching Dublin. As I’ve been working in London most of this week, I had plenty of excuses to visit the infamous Bond Street, Selfridges and over indulge myself on London’s high street capital – Oxford Street. Hurrah! So after three coffee pit stops , one mile of window shopping and some sore footsies later, Evans Christmas display really caught my eye ! The collection was designed by the dynamic duo Clements Ribeiro (Suzanne Clements and Inacio Ribeiro). It comes as no surprise then that they produced feminine, flirty and retro-chic pieces. As designers in the straight size market for many years, some people have had their hesitations as to what to expect. However Clement comments that:
“Style is not about size, it’s about shape and creating beautiful clothes that girls and women will feel great in. It’s what we’ve always done” . What I love most about the collection is that they have not only incorporated flattering designs, they have produced looks that are on trend with designers such as Bally Switzerland, Valentino , Alberta Feretti and Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko.
