Last week my interview with the amazing Grainne Seoige aired on RTE as part of her brand new series ‘Modern life’. Grainne is one of Ireland’s most respected and adored presenters so it was fantastic to rub shoulders with such a gem. Among those interviewed included style director of Grazia Magazine Paula Reed,top Irish designer Eilis Boyle, stylist Angela Scanlon, International model Alison Canavan and former Miss Ireland Emma Waldron . The documentary kick started by dealing with issues surrounding the size zero phenomenon. She delved into issues surrounding the increase of both anorexia and bulimia whilst highlighted a broader stance incorporating the power of media and body image. There is no doubt that this is an issue which has been reoccurring over the last 8 years but it is a topic where no solution has yet arisen. Here is the link for those over the age of 18.
