Travels of a curvy model :Thailand

Last month I was really lucky to have had the chance to go back to Thailand. It’s a stunning part of the world which is so rich in culture so every day will always be different! With this in mind I had to be clever with my wardrobe choices as it was also 36 degrees heat and of course I had to keep in mind the dreaded baggage restrictions from the airline (arg!). I limited myself to just one pair of high heels (I don’t know how I did it) but it realistically meant more room for pretty dresses, my new buys from River Island and my fabulous new sandals (all 6 pairs). Cotton or silk tops are the way to go if you’re hoping to never look at at Ironing board while you’re away. No matter how pretty some polyester and linen pieces maybe, they will break your heart trying to keep them decreased. If anyone reading this ,however, has helpful-easy-non-creasing traveling tips I would love to hear from you!:)

My life saving beauty essentials on the trip were my Moroccan oil hair treatments, Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream – It does everything! And I couldn’t have lived without some fresh Aloe Vera, no better place to get it from than Thailand so it was really cheap too!

Here’s a few snaps of what I got myself up to!

Elephant trekking : This is one of my favorite things to do. Shorts in hots climates are the way to go but I opted for denim as its thicker material and more comfortable when trekking through jungles while sitting on an elephant!:)

Top tips: Bring handbag size mosquito repellent – Apply before and during the trip

Research with local people in advance which elephant sanctuary your going to go trekking with. Recognized and long established sanctuaries usually treat their elephants extremely well. They are really healthy and happy animals because they’re raised in safe and friendly environments.

Where’s Wally?: Trip to mini Siam, Europe & USA in Thailand (definitely worth a visit!). I got to see everything from the Kings Palace to the Statue of Liberty and even the Colosseum all from the one country! It takes a while to get around but I loved it!

P.S Wearing black in the intense heat was a very silly idea… black attracts heat. Oops!

Dressing up! :

Halter neck dress : Motec designs Marbella, Spain – Turquoise dress with hints of leopard print and purple orchards. Embellished at the neckline and the hemlines with Swarovski crystals.

Envelope Clutch bag: By Guess – Nude faux snake skin

Ring: River Island

Drink : Mine 😉

Fireworks display and evening at the hotel – The Dusit Thani- It has to be one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
