It came as no surprise to me this morning when I heard Lana Del Rey has been named the new face of H&M for A/W. The 26 year old has been climbing the ladder of the fashion world this past year. She has graced the covers of Vogue. Mulberry have named a handbag after her(every girls dream I know!) and not forgetting her recent Modelling contract with Next models. I was delighted to see that in this new campaign, H&M have played on Lana’s retro look and have retained ever inch of her 50’s style perfection with this stunning hair and makeup. According to H&M’s creative director, Donald Schneider he considers the look to be “L.A Noir” as it reflects their fall collection. The rest of H&M’s A/W campaign will hit stores and us fashionistas in the Winter, so we’ll just have to wait until then. Sad face 🙁
