This month I was lucky enough to travel to New York. I met some wonderful people throughout my trip and meeting the team behind Madison Plus was certainly a highlight.
I was eager to meet Madison Plus because they are great crusaders of fashion and diversity in the USA. They encourage fashion among the curvier women while highlighting their work as a “privilege is to dress the woman who doesn’t solely identify herself as “plus size” – she’s a fabulous, stylish woman, regardless of her size, and she wants to be able to access mainstream fashion. While I was at their offices, they took some ‘Model off Duty’ shots for their website. When I woke up that morning it was lashing rain and thunder storms so I opted for this graphic print dress from Oasis, paired with some black leggings to be extra weather proof. 😉 The photo above is with myself and creative director Kari Hansbargar who I’ve been in contact with since last year so it was great to meet her at last. I managed to a find little bit of time to spend around the city, so of course I did some shopping- (It would have been a crime not too!). On my way to explore the shops I came across Keira Knightley filming with James Corden which was pretty cool!:) I also got to meet up with my cousin who is touring the States with his band the Von Shakes, so it was a fairly compact but interesting trip !:)
