The past two weeks many of my readers wrote in looking for tips on key workwear pieces. September seems to be a month where many women go back to work, or are simply looking to revamp their workwear wardrobe. Here are some main pieces or styles that cater for all sizes. I hope you like them. Lou.x River Island :£40 /€49 This cute colour block peplum dress is perfect for sophisticated workwear. The black panelling instantly gives the illusion of smaller hips and a waist. I also think this cranberry colour is more practical for working women or busy mums. River Island: Tan contrast tote bag. £ 45/€56 Working girls need a good working bag. I liked this bag in particular because of all the compartments which would be perfect for holding notes, your mandatory makeup bag or even an ipad.
Dorothy Perkins : £20/£29 This skirt for me, is a winner. It has a hint of peplum, which drapes nicely over those areas you may want hidden which we all have. Having a key piece like this in your wardrobe will take you from day to night very easily. Sizes range from a 6-22 Asos and Asos Curve OBI belt: £20/€29 OBI belts are currently my favourite accessory at the moment! They work with practically everything and can instantly give something in your wardrobe a brand new look. Any shape or size can wear this belt. It hugs your waistline, making it appear smaller, in turn it gives you a more hourglass silhouette.
Dorothy Perkins, pink pussy bow blouse : £ 26 /€32 Tops like these are a perfect wardrobe staple as they are great for casual or more formal workwear. Pair them with jeans, smart trousers or tuck the top into a skirt. Size 6-24. 369:Mid-wash bootcut jeans : £22/€27 (current offer = 2 pairs for £35/€45) Dark jeans are great for the working girl wardrobe. Worn with a blazer or a nice top will give you an instant smart/chic look. I think bootcut jeans are the most flattering for work because you can pair them easily with flats or heels. 369 starts from a 14 -26 and caters for both petite and longer lengths.
