Kate Upton, the stunning 5 ft 10″ curvy blonde bombshell, has made it onto the cover of British Vogue. Kate recently made her Vogue debut in October of this year featuring on the cover of Vogue Italia, a Vogue which in the last two years have promoted all things womanly and curvy. Kate’s body was recently criticised this year for being overweight or too fat for catwalk. However the Vogue family say otherwise. In her British Vogue interview Vogue features director Sarah Harris describes Upton with “a body that belongs to the supermodel era of modeling. Growing up, she idolize Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, and Heido Klum. In the flesh, this all-American beauty resembles a young Anna Nicole Smith or Marilyn Monroe.” They describe their January issue as one that represents a fresh start to the New Year. “A period of new beginnings and changing chapters” . Editor Alexandra Shulman, added she wanted to kick start the New Year with something different, not the stereotypical model. So could this be the start to more curvier body types gracing the covers of British Vogue? I hope so! Lou xx
