The First Lady looked the picture of elegance and beauty in this stunning red Jason Wu gown on Monday night. The dress is comprised of ruby red chiffon and velvet which was custom made by Wu himself. Mrs.Obama wore a beautiful Jason Wu dress at the first presidential inauguration ball in 2009, making Wu a household name practically overnight. He submitted this red number for her consideration for this year which was designed to reflect her evolving style and confidence. When journalists contacted Wu’s studio this week, he describes how shocked and honoured he is to be chosen for a second time round. Michelle paired the dress on the night with shoes by Jimmy Choo and a handmade diamond ring by Jewellery designer Kimberly McDonald. All items will be added to the U.S National archives at the end of the inauguration festivities.
