I’ve had a lot of emails and Facebook messages recently asking about my eye makeup from my outfit posts. My most faithful product I use has to be my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. It has been all around the world with me. I use it during every work trip, for castings and of course for a night out. Some people maybe scared off by the number of glitter pigments in the palette but its actually one of the best items for achieving a natural look with the freedom to them build on it if you want more definition. The palette cost 42 euro which was probably the best investment I have ever made. Once the eyeshadow is applied it stays put for the day, which we all know is a hard thing to come across.
My natural makeup look
1: After applying my foundation, I cover the entire lid of my eye with their nude base ‘Foxy’ ( colour no.1 ). It’s great to keep your eyes looking fresh. If I don’t use it, I notice the lid of my eyes can look quite shiney after an hour or two if I’m just wearing foundation on its own. It can also look like the foundation has warn off altogether.
2: As soon as I have applied Foxy I use ‘Bootycall’ on the lower part of my eye and into the inside socket. It is a cream colour with mild glitter elements which a gives a hint of sparkle to your eyes. It’s extremely subtle but a great lifesaver for tired days. 3: Just above the crease of your eye add ‘Half Baked’ and blend it into Bootycall. This is a light gold shadow that gives a gorgeous sun kissed glow. It’s a shadow that works really well for warmer skin tones. In the photo above I have enhanced my eyebrows with an arched brush and Urban Decays ‘Tease’ which is a matte teddy bear brown colour. I finished it with some Essence eyebrow gel which helps to keep it in place for the day. For an evening look, ‘Snake Bite’ , ‘Busted’ and ‘Blackout’ are my favourite to add to my steps in my daytime look. To achieve extra sparkle to your eyes, take the narrow end of the Urban Decay Brush and finely run a line of ‘Chopper’ under your eyes. It really makes a difference to your look. You can get Urban Decay Naked 2 palette at your nearest Debenhams, Sephora or online. Lou. Xx
