The colour burst of cobalt blue is certainly not to be missed when preparing your wardrobe for this A/W. The vibrancy of certain blue shades can be overwhelming for some people but I have chosen a variety of pieces that you could definitely integrate into your wardrobe if bold colour tends to scare you. What I like about this current wave of colour trend is that it will see you through to next year and throughout the summer of 2014 too.
My favourite pieces at the moment can be seen on both the models I have chosen in the photos. The blue biker style Boucle coat is something that you can add to a plain look such as black skinny jeans and a plain top. The length of this coat sits to just around your thigh area which is a perfect style for practically every body type. If you are tall this coat will still look great resting just around your derriere. What makes this such a great piece is the cut and fit. Sometimes too much material in jackets and coats can swamp you adding extra bulk to your body. Other great options to bring blue into your wardrobe is through print. Both dresses in number 2 and 3 offer something different whether you want a subtle blue hint in a Aztec print or something stronger with leopard print.
Mysecond favourite look is this stunningdress I have picked from the Asos Curve Range. It’s an unusual Grecian style with beautiful detailing so minimal accessories is needed. As an evening wear piece it’s a stylish and extremely flattering alternative to a LBD.If you prefer subtlety into your closet then investing in simple pieces like a skater skirt or blue skinny jeans is perfect. Pair either with a plain black top or a blazer and your done. For a super easy burst of blue, accessories are of course a great choice.
