Jacava London is the new kid on the block of luxury nail varnishes. Each formula contains 22 carat gold to ensure long lasting shine. It is also the first “8 free” nail varnish of it’s kind.
This means they don’t test on animals nor does it contain any animal ingredients, with no harsh chemicals such as Formaldehyde, Camphor, Toluene, DBP, Collophane or Phthalates. This kind of philosophy in a brand is usually something that attracts me to a product, so I was really excited to try it out.
I opted for some fruity colours from their Sweet Summer Exuberance Collection of Blackberry Fool and Blueberry Muffin .
Blueberry muffin is quite subtle. It’s a nice pastel colour. The bottles are really lovely, with a long neck and brush which makes it easy to apply. I am by no means a pro at applying nail varnish but this felt extremely easy. Above I have two coats on, but one is actually enough. I just wanted to showcase its true potential for the nature of this post.
I have applied just one coat of Blackberry Fool. It’s a gorgeous shade not an overpowering kind of fushia pink. Both colours dried really quickly which I was so impressed about. I’ve been really busy lately especially the last two days so I thought it would be interesting to see how well it wore in daily life!
The verdict: Super! I’ve typed tonnes of emails and have been running around like a headless chicken, yet they still look exactly the same. Not a chip to be seen! My nails were also feeling a bit weak after having my Shellac removed this week but thankfully their formula leaves your nails feeling really strong. Jacava London retails at £14.50 / €16.70. Their products are available all across the U.K, on Jacava.com , Amazon.co.uk and on FeelUnique.com
