The denim trend is extremely popular at the moment. It is of course by no means a new trend. It has been around for years, since the 1870’s to be exact. We’ve seen variation of denim looks from celebrities over the years from the cool to the cringe worthy, mainly the later which I would imagine established the rule ‘dont match denim with denim’. Now however that rule has been thrown out the window! It’s all about mixing up your denim whether it’s light with dark denim, patchwork shirts with white wash denim shorts, colour popping reds or light pastel shades of denim mixed with a denim top.
Here I wanted to keep things casual. I’ve gone for an acid washed denim shirt with silver stud detailing around the shoulders from Primark. Usually I would take a size 16, but it was actually a big fit and denim shirts should be fitted and structured, so I went for the size 14. I paired it with my Awear dark wash jeans from last year. The pockets of the jeans have subtle silver stud detailing with silver thread design so I thought it was a nice combination.
My favourite shoes at the moment are these biker boots from Kurt Geiger. I think they add something extra to any casual outfit. 🙂
