This month I am introducing a new topic to my blog interviewing interesting people in the fashion and beauty industry. To kick start this segment I thought of the beautiful and stylish Danielle Van Grondelle. A fellow plus size model who is currently rocking her curves in New York City with her agency Muse Models NYC. She has worked for big names like Marina Rinaldi, Cosmopolitan, BB magazine and Littlewoods. Find out what she’s up to and some of her top fashion tips below.

What location are you in at the moment? I am living in NYC at the moment. I am originally from Rotterdam inthe Netherlands. Describe your style? My style is daring, I love looking original. I like to dress in prints and I love wearing statement jewellery. I like to mix old and new, expensive and cheap and just make my own creation every day 😉 .
Who is your style icon? I don’t really have an style icon, but I like humour in fashion so labels like Jeremy Scott and artists like M.I.A, I really like style wise. Name five things in your handbag at all times? Gum, Labello lipbalm, my phone, Pure Poison body lotion and toothpicks 😉 Name something you can’t live without? The people I love, I can’t live without them. They make me who I am, family and friends are really important to me.Material things I can go without but the bond I have with my friends and family mean everything to me. What’s your must have piece this summer? I love mixing prints, so my must have piece is a printed cropped blouse and a printed skirt. I also love to add a big gold chain as a statement piece, it makes every outfit pop. 
Best style tip? Focus on your best assets, dress for your shape. For me it’s that I have a very small waist, so Ilike to put the focus on that when I dress. And also be yourself. I love to see people find their true self in style and embrace it. What are your favourite brands and stores to shop in? Monki is my favourite store, I also love Asos and Topshop. I like to mix those with Acne or Marc Jacobs pieces. For bags, I love Chanel, Chloe and Marc Jacobs. And my absolute favourite is to go vintage shopping and find one of a kind treasures. What is your favourite beauty product? I love turnaround serum from Clinique and hydra beauty creme from Chanel for my skin, and Labello guave lipbalm is my absolute favourite. Favourite modelling job so far? I loved the editorials I did for Jackie magazine, Cosmopolitan and Avant-Guarde magazine. Also the Marina Rinaldi campaign was an amazing experience. I really love my job, there are so many great jobs to be thankful for 🙂 .
What do you love most about fashion? What I love about fashion is that you can show the world who you are, without talking. I love letting my wardrobe speak for itself, creating new looks every day. I have always been busy with clothing and style as I studied fashion design at the Royal Academy Of Art, and I want to continue enjoying fashion and style the rest of my life.
