Aztec print is a keen favourite of mine. It instantly adds a sense of culture into fashion bringing diversity into your wardrobe. I’ve had my eye on this midi dress for a while now from Simply Be. What caught my attention was the detailed shading and colour contrast of a deep green against monochrome.
The pattern has been clearly thought out for us curvy women with a variation between horizontal lines with vertical diamonds. Together they create an illusion of a longer torso and a flattering silhouette. If horizontal lines are too wide they will draw attention to your tummy and can make you look wider than you are. Hence why I like this pattern so much. 🙂
If you are petite and curvy, this dress will be an investment worth altering at the hem as it has all the components of a great shape that will give you the illusion of looking taller. For tall and curvy women, this dress will probably sit just at your knee or above. It won’t work for you as a typical midi dress but it will still look beautiful and curvaceous.
As this is a body con midi dress, it is of course body hugging. Here I’m wearing a size 16. It fits well but as it is viscose and elastine material I would say there is no harm going up a size for extra comfort.
