The first week of December is now among us, it’s officially time to flaunt all party wear and of course sequins to embrace the festive season. My first party wear look this month is from Littlewoods Ireland.
I came across this skirt on a magazine shoot I did recently and I just fell in love with it. What appealed to me the most was how easy it would be to change up the look. I don’t own too many skirts so it was a nice addition to my wardrobe.
Ideas to create a different look with the same skirt :
Team the skirt with a black silk vest top like here tucked into the skirt and a necklace similar to mine in the photo.
Pair a red top and red killer heels with a simple clutch bag
Try a white shirt tucked into the skirt with a statement necklace and black tights
Up close you will see the sequins have an animal print design. The material is extremely soft and it sits just above the knee. If you are tall, I really think it would still sit nicely even if it means adding a pair of black tights. If you are petite, think about going down a dress size and wearing it higher around the waistline. Littlewoods Ireland are doing free returns now too so you can easily get two sizes and just send one back.
I teamed the look with a simple long sleeve lycra top that has a round neckline and my faux fur gilet to embrace the Winter vibe. The boots are from Love Label. As most of you know black and gold are one of my favourite combinations. They have elements of a Chelsea boot with fine gold detailing on the sides which looks great with a number of outfits, especially black skinny jeans! One of my favourite elements about boots like this is platform at the front as it gives extra comfort to your feet, which is a must for the busy party season!
The bag is from the Coleen Rooney range which is unfortunately all sold out but there is a similar one here from Fiorelli. I love big handbags mainly because I’m always carrying multiple things with me. This is just a nice size for day or night. It’s something practical that will work with a huge amount in my wardrobe.
