This week’s look is something which can spread across a number of topics from easy holiday and travel looks, festival to city chic. I thought I would pick some key Summer staples regardless of trends. At the moment here are some of my favourite wardrobe pieces.
I have had this pair denim shorts for about three years now and they have never let me down. What I like most about them is the length with the option to roll up the ends if you wish. The distressed denim look is something which is always perfect for the Summer months you can make them as casual as you like if you are hitting the beach or would like to embrace more of a city vibe like here.
This white shirt I actually bought back in November. It has a stretch fabric which I prefer to wear it open for a laid back feel. You can add various t-shirt styles with it, be it a statement t-shirt or vest tops which is why it’s one of my favourite pieces. Jewellery is a key part of my wardrobe and this necklace is something that is quite special to me. My dad bought it for me four years ago in Rome. It’s amber mixed with Murano Glass which is almost a good luck charm to me at this stage and always reminds me of Italy. For bracelets I simply stacked some gold chain bracelets with a Guess watch for a laid back feel.
Now as most of you know at this stage I’m a girl who loves a good handbag, but a practical one. A ‘bring my life with me’ kind of bag. I bought this a few months ago as it ticked all the fashion blogging boxes – great colour, it has four separate compartments, it fits my ipad and my notes and it is really lightweight. A justified shopping purchase..well I like to think so! 🙂 Tan is certainly a shade which works great with denim and gives a really fresh look to a wardrobe.
Simple and understated ankle strap sandals are a huge favourite again this year and most importantly they are the kind of shoe that will never date. I spotted this pair last month but what appealed to be most was the wood block detail mixing some Asian inspired Geisha shoes with a sandal. I was sold! They look great with jeans (rolled up at the end), dresses and of course shorts!
