Mesh

Co-ordinates have been quite popular at the moment in various forms, combinations and prints. Perhaps you might have also seen the crop top trend which is often paired with pencil skirts or shorts. These 90’s inspired styles aren’t for everyone but I was delighted to come across an item that could work for those wanting to try the look but not wanting to show off their tummy area. The cheat sheet method to this week’s look is down to the mesh panelling that’s built into this dress from Littlewoods Ireland*.

The shape up close forms an A-line cut dress. From a distance and at various angles it gives the illusion of two separate pieces, a crop top and a high waisted skirt due to the mesh panel insert dividing the two. Here I am wearing a size 16 which I found fitted perfectly around the midriff area.

For accessories I opted for an unusual tribal inspirednecklace with rope detailing which complemented the bold purple. These shoes are so unusual I knew they just had to go into this outfit post! The tied detailing mixed with the cut out panels really grabbed my attention which really adds to the overall look. Together it’s an outfit that is quite transitional as all pieces can be used into the winter (perhaps pair the dress with some tights when it comes to November onwards!:) ).
