When it comes to lipglosses I am slightly obsessed, mainly because I don’t like the dried out prune feeling lipsticks can give. I was recently sent the ‘Max Factor Colour Elixir’ gloss to try out which I was more than happy to put to the Style Me Curvy test. 🙂 There are 6 shades all with a beautiful high shine finish but with moisturising texture of a lip balm. It got immediate points from me by that alone as with some lip gloss brands that offer a great glossy finish, I find my lips look and feel stuck together half of the time! With the Elixir gloss you will barely notice that it’s there with the lightweight texture. And with thanks to candelilla wax it gives a lovely nourished feel to your lips!
In terms of colours there are three bright versus three nude. Usually I tend to stay away from bold brights a lot of the time but when I applied the deepest shade, Polished Fushia, it was a much softer and wearable than I had expected. For colour choices my favourites would have to be Enchanting Coral (25) and Luxurious Berry (45) which are such pretty and easy to wear Summer shades for either day or night.

When it came to the nude shades, I found all three were extremely similar. They all have the same moisturising qualities and shine as mentioned above but just one colour choice would be enough here. For me I would probably opt for Pristine Nude (10) which is slightly stronger than that lightest shade (Radiant Rose 15). It has soft glitter pigments which makes it a perfect option for an evening if you are looking for a natural look or if you have gone for a smokey eye but want to keep lips simple. Opting for one of the nude shades also works well over a lipstick for added effect.
