This week it’s all about burgundy, my current colour crush. It’s a colour which is extremely flattering on most skin types and all hair colours. This coat is from Primark which is a current Winter favourite of mine as most of you might see from my Instagram account! 🙂 It has a slight cocoon shape to it, but I would say it’s more fitted than most oversized coats out at the moment. The faux fur trim instantly brings a sense of Winter chic to the coat which makes putting together even the most basic outfit extremely easy. While it wouldn’t be the heaviest of coats, you can easily layer a biker jacket underneath for extra warmth and the faux fur detail is exceptionally warm.
For those with a diamond shape or an athletic build the faux fur trim will give the illusion of a smaller frame on top which will help to balance out your frame. For petites however this look may cover you abit too much so you should look for a more fitted version of this style.
Today I teamed this look with a pair of wet look leggings I bought recently in Vero Moda. I’ve been on the hunt for a comfortable pair like these for some time now. The size is quite generous so an L/XL size would fit up to an 18. For those over this size Asos Curve and Junarose have a fantastic selection of wet look leggings at the moment.
The faux fur detail can be removed if you wanted to achieve a different look to it. As I’m having a crush on burgundy shades at the moment this tote bag from Parfois was a must. It has a number of compartments in it yet it is extremely light so you can easily carry books, ipads or other essentials with you without your bag weighing a tonne. I also loved the fact that it looks far more expensive than €24.95/ £19.95 🙂
