This week I was delighted to team up with Primark to review and showcase some of their sportswear pieces which launched this January. I was really delighted when I saw the pieces as the size ranges from an 8-20, proving that you can look and feel fashionable at the gym regardless of your shape or size. There is a particular need for this in the market especially at such a fantastic price point. In terms of style I loved how they embraced bold colours, and while you do have the option to purchase black sports items in store, you will find yourself distracted by the array of prints and designs similar to that of a luxury sports line. In this post I’m wearing size 16 which I found true to size as in other brands I might have to go to a size 18. To try it out properly I took these beauties on a jog with my photographer Hedvig who captured some really nice shots which will help show you the movement in the clothing.
The first look is this long sleeve turquoise top which I paired with Primarks purple watercolor leggings. The top is lightweight but warm. My local gym is usually quite cold so this has been a welcomed find as I can workout in comfort. As a curvy girl, I am quite particular about leggings which can easily lose its elasticity. Thankfully these beauties didn’t budge once, I’m putting it down to the extra thick band around the middle which means it hugs to your body much better. It was completely comfortable for jogging and quite flattering too. The watercolour print which breaks up the purple actually adds to a really flattering leg shape.
Their trainers come in various colours with an ultra lightweight feel. I decided on turquoise as it would be something fresh for the Spring and Summer months too.
Next I tried their waterproof jacket with a neon tank top underneath. It’s light and perfect for runners or perhaps leaving the gym after a workout for extra warmth over your clothing. Colour wise, the combinations of neon trimming and lilac tones coined both reflective detail with an artistic chic twist. For extra warmth I added this purple snood which was a bargain friendly €2!
