70’s fashion has really taken over designer taste buds this season with everything from suedes to flares and bold prints, which can be seen everywhere. To transcend some simple wardrobe staples into this trend-led style, I find fringed items will work wonders. Take for example a simple pair of blue skinny jeans, which I’ve had for about two years now and a simple white boxed style top. I added this long lined fringed waistcoat which I bought a few years ago from River Island – I’ve only worn it a handful of times but could never part from it and I’m glad I didn’t as there are tonnes of styles like this available at the moment. When you blend everything together you get this simple but effective look. It’s so easy to achieve this look particularly if you are on a budget. If you want more of a holiday vibe simply switch jeans for a pair of denim shorts and voila!
For accessories I wanted to keep this look clean and simple as there is a lot going on with the waistcoat. Nude heels and a clutch work perfectly in a fuss free approach to this trend. Jewellery was kept quite minimal but I wanted to wear my Daniel Wellington watch as it does have some 70’s inspiration about it.
