This post would have to be one of my favourite collaborations to date. Recently Forever 21 asked me to put together a key look from their plus size collection. Working with different brands is always welcoming as a blogger, but particularly when it comes to seeing options for plus size fashion that presents itself in an on trend, stylish and affordable price range capacity. Forever 21 has definitely left a lasting impression on me, something which I am most taken by for what Style Me Curvy represents – fashion for everyone.
The look I chose for today is very much festival inspired, where comfort was certainly at the forefront of my style. The key piece is this triangle skater dress which I was pleasantly surprised about due to the quality – as it was just £12/€14. As burgundy and boho vibes are still very much on the cards based on the Autumn Winter catwalks, it’s a perfect transeasonal piece that can be worn with tights or leggings in the colder months too. It flows delicately into an A-lined skater style for more of a relaxed feel which I liked, knowing that if you had a tummy area you wanted to discreetly cover, it would be easily done so here.
I have a weakness for long lined duster jackets and blazers so I found this long lined waistcoat to be a nice addition as it finishes at the perfect length with this dress. In both items I picked up an XL which would be a size 16 on the Forever 21 Plus size chart. The fit was very much true to size for the dress, while the waistcoat could be adjusted at the back depending on how much material you would like draped at the front which I liked.
For accessories, it was certainly easy to style as Forever 21 have a very generous accessories department which we all know. I opted for some silver midi rings, a rustic silver cuff and a aztec inspired layered necklace.
This bag is my new baby as I’m a total biker style enthusiast, so it gives the satchel trend a perfect edge. For shoes, I opted for practical cut out boots, meaning they are perfect for festivals but still light and breathable for the summer months.
