Today’s post is tapping into true bohemian vibes with a soft, floaty style. Palazzopants, I have come to realise, are incredibly comfortable and surprisingly flattering! They can be whatever you want them to be, smart and chic, or more of a casual, laid back feel. Opting for something with vertical lines will immediately add length and height to your frame, but there are a huge range of flattering styles available at the moment if you prefer something more subtle.
With August now here they are also a great transitional piece to have as you can still have that summer look but with the extra coverage. Ideal if you happen to live in a country with unpredictable weather!
What to pair them with:
There is a huge selection of tops you can go for with this style, be as ‘out there’ or play it as safe as you like. As I’m wearing a striped look, I opted for some Bardot inspiration. I liked how this style had a double layer at the front making it quite flattering around the bust area. For something smarter look towards a navy blazer and a simple navy top.
Details
For accessories I kept in line with some 70’s inspiration with a fringed detail bag from Primark and some round sunglasses. In terms of jewellery I was recently given a present of this bracelet by Stella & Dotwhich I’m obsessed with lately as it goes with everything and makes a statement in itself so I kept my necklace very simple with a long line style that finished with a beautiful pop of blue.
I really enjoyed shooting this look for many reasons. Working freelance it can be daunting sometimes and you forget to take some time out. You’re always in reach of email, social media or some kind of instant social app which makes you accessible. It’s good to zone out sometimes, without a phone in hand and really enjoy the beauties of nature without a wifi sign in sight.
