This month I teamed up withLittlewoods Ireland to show you some of my Summer must haves, from my beauty basics, to what’s in my handbag. With my job I travel regularly, meaning I’m dealing with different temperatures or trying to look presentable quite quickly while on the move! With this in mind I’ve put together a list of items that have been my absolute go-to’s so far and if you follow me on social media you might know some of them already! 🙂
The ‘ IT ‘ bag
This Lipsy shoulder bag was fashion blogger love at first sight. It also folds up perfectly in a suitcase if needed, and gives off an extremely smart and polished look to any outfit with thanks to it’s gold chain detail.
The Beauty Basics:
These two items, Babyliss Soft Waves and Glamglow’s Youth Mud, are instant summer beauty uplifters. This curling iron is a brilliant way to create various curls from Hollywood styles to beach waves, and I find the thicker barrel is perfect for medium to long hair lengths. For more of a beach vibe, after you have curled your hair, simply brush out with a large paddle brush and it will give you perfect boho locks. For added texture just add a salt spray.
Glamglow is an incredible face mask with ‘Youthmud’ being one of my particular favourites from the range. Without a doubt it’s a brilliant beauty S.O.S if you have breakouts, or if you feel like your skin is looking dull and lifeless. It will definitely give you some much needed skincare magic which many of us need throughout the Summer months. What’s in it? It’s made from French sea clay with green tea leaf components, volcanic pumice rock, cucumber and a section of herbs/ flower extracts which together gives a rejuvenated radiant skin effect. It has saved my bacon on a number of occasions which is why it is most definitely a must have favourite of mine!
My travel must haves:
A Summer haul wouldn’t be complete without perfume. I tend to go for light, airy but subtly and sweet smells. One of my favourites is Boss Orange for a number of reasons as the bottle is generous in size yet light, meaning it’s perfect for handbags and travel. It’s incredibly long lasting, the smell is divine and it’s ideal for day or night.
YSL mascara is something I wasn’t aware Littlewoods Ireland stocked. The false lash effect mascara has been one of my favourites for years to create that butterfly lash effect. It always brings back holiday memories from when I first ‘borrowed’ it from my mum when I was 16 – I’ve been hooked ever since! haha.
As a blogger I love to see when fellow bloggers bring out their own collections and I’ve been look forward to trying out Tanya Burr’srange for some time now. Her latest lipgloss definitely did not disappoint. It resembled a YSL lip gloss I use to use while having a great texture and staying power to it. For €10 it was a brilliant buy with charming orange zestiness to it. Shade: Champagne Toast.
For sunglasses these beauties are definitely a bargain find as they are identical to a popular Rayban style but for a much smaller price point of €28!
The finishing touches
My handbag wouldn’t be complete without a notebook because I write down everything from ideas, to little reminders and of course the odd doodle! I saw this on the website and fell in love with it as I have a slight obsession with stationery, so this Ted Baker notebook was definitely screaming my name! The inside cover says it all really with true Ted Baker charm throughout.
