Usually I like to put all my Irish designer reviews in one concise post but this season I feel Paul Costelloe deserves an entire post just dedicated to his SS16 collection. I’ve attended Paul’s London Fashion Week show for the past three seasons, and this season was most definitely my favourite. The show location was at the beautiful Cafe Royal on Regent Street with stunning ornate gold ceilings, creating such a beautiful setting. For his Autumn and Winter collections I had a huge penchant for his handbags and coats, with this collection however, I could see myself in practically everything for Summer!
He has certainly wrapped his S/S collection in 60’s flare with shift dresses aplenty to a huge array of colour choices from bold oranges, fluorescent pinks, greens and crisp whites. His love for detailed Italian inspired prints is still channelled throughout the collection but done in more delicate ways from tops to skirts and co-ordinates. Neoprene fabrics, however, definitely dominated the overall collection. For next season expect a playful, pretty and oh so girly collection!
