2015 has certainly been one whirlwind of a year and I am really intrigued by what 2016 will bring. For the day that’s in it, I couldn’t sign off the year without featuring one of my favourite kinds of outfit topics – a dramatic look for every body type. This overall look is so easy to achieve, incredibly comfortable and something which incorporates some major Sarah Jessica Parker-eque high heels too!
The Meslita skirts from Coast are one of my favourite skirt styles. They come in various colours and exert the most beautiful lady like charm. This kind of skirt is a closet keeper that would work for a huge amount of formal and black tie occasions. As it has a satin waistband it highlights your waist perfectly to give a beautiful curvy silhouette. It’s a match made in heaven for those looking to hide a tummy area to those who perhaps want to give the illusion of more curves all through blissful comfort.
For tops, there are a multitude of styles you could opt for, a plain black bodice for a full dramatic ‘black-out’ look, a low plunge style in a colourful shade or a crisp white funnel neck style like I’ve paired it with today which works for various bust types. Monochrome styles are so versatile and together make a stylishly simple but effective outfit.

The shoes are quite possibly one of my favourite finds over the past few months as they blend various styles into one. Romantic, detailed and certainly make a statement on their own. They are the kind of shoes that will glam up even the most basic of outfits. They’re from Korky’s and at €54.99/ £40 they’re quite the bargain find too!
As the top I’m wearing today is high neck I opted for a statement cuff to give more of a modern feel. This particular one is from Littlewoods Ireland which happens to be on sale at the moment too for €14 / £10.
