Last week I flew to the beautiful city of Gothenburg. Twenty international bloggers including myself were flown from all around the world to attend the Swedish Way Out West festival with Asos who were the main sponsors for the three days.
While I’m well used to flights and connections at this stage, one thing I often forget when it comes to flying is of course the risk of lost baggage. Strangely before I left the house that morning I added one or two extra makeup bits into the handbag than normal, “just incase”, which I never normally do. And low and behold there was no bag on the other end in arrivals. I was so extremely lucky that Asos had pieces in each blogger’s room if they wanted to mix and match with their own clothes to wear to the festival. So I wasn’t at a total loss but you can’t help but feel panicked by the little things, hair straighteners, camera chargers etc. But realistically I was on a trip with lots of girls so a hair straightener was never far away! I picked up some pieces on the first day and luckily the hotel we stayed in was so central. It’s called the Clarion Post which I would highly recommend to anyone. You are right in the heart of the city and right beside two big shopping centres, streets of interesting boutiques and pockets of beautiful culture… and there’s a Starbucks just 2 minutes walk from the hotel! What more could a girl need?!.
Day one :
For the first day, as it was a nice evening I opted for this beach maxi kimono which you can wear either open or closed. To give it more of a boho vibe, I paired these shorts with a simple black top and some ankle boots. It was really comfy and the kimono is certainly a summer piece that you could easily style numerous ways.

Day two :
Day two was more of a jeans day as the weather was quite bad. This bomber jacket was insanely beautiful and I can’t wait to restyle it with a fitted dress or full skirt. While baseball caps aren’t really my ‘thing’ it was in the Asos wardrobe and it actually worked quite well. I am now a baseball cape convert you could say!

Day three:
For the final day I wore this beautiful white frilled maxi dress which can be worn dressed down as seen here or as a statement dress for a Summer evening. It comes with a delicate white string style belt but I wanted to give more of a casual feel to it so I added this chunky leather belt to pull everything together. It would look beautiful with a high heel or a lace up sandal, but of course as I was at a festival, boots were definitely needed. The final act for the night was Sia who was just incredible. If you are anyway a Sia fan her show is definitely unforgettable. We also got to see James Bay, Zara Larsson and got introduced to lots of various Swedish music over the course of the three days. It was a really enjoyable trip, lost luggage aside, getting to see more of Sweden, working with Asos, meeting tonnes of incredible bloggers and I even got the chance to pop in and say hello to my Swedish agents. Check out their fabulous office over on my instagram.. it’s serious office goals envy!
