Jumpsuits I find can be of spilt opinion for people – a love or hate effect. For me, especially in Autumn /Winter they are one of my go-to’s- because honestly I can get away with not shaving my legs or not wearing fake tan! haha. Each season I love finding a new statement jumpsuit, I must have a collection at this point, but for New York Fashion Week this month it had to be on the cards! I found this ruffled number in Coast which I loved for a combination of reasons – it had a V cut neckline with a mesh overlay and thick straps meaning you could wear any bra of your choice but also it would work for a multitude of occasions or a last minute formal event. The frill works really well for apple shape bodies as it helps to break up your frame and elongate your torso which will give more balance to your body. In terms of colour it’s that perfect balance of navy blue that you can either wear for Autumn like today or paired with bright accessories for Summer next year. In hindsight I probably would have worn a higher heel with this but as it was Fashion Week I did opt for a block heel as that particular day I was on my feet for over ten hours so I knew I wouldn’t have lasted in anything higher!:) As draped and statement jumpsuits can be hard to find I’ve added a gallery at the bottom of this post with various style options that might come in handy for some of you. 🙂 Lou.x
