Red and pink combinations have certainly grown on me over the last while particularly since Victoria Beckham and Oscar De la Renta’s SS 2018 shows. At Fashion Week this season I had originally planned this pink cold shoulder top team with this red wide leg trouser combo from Coast but with the unexpected turn of the weather in Milan last week a jacket was most definitely needed and by fluke this boucle piece I had packed happened to be the same colour!
Today’s look is perfect for those looking for something different coming into Spring Summer for a formal event you might have coming up. I’ve always been a fan of wide leg trousers over the last few years as I love to dress them up or down – high waisted styles can elongate your silhouette making you appear taller too. For tops if you are quite busted V cut necklines might be more comfortable to wear with this style however I wear a size 40D cup and I did find the size 18 in this top to be perfect both in comfort and how it sat throughout the day. If you wanted to create more of a jumpsuit effect finding a top in the same shade of red wouldn’t be a problem as red continues to be a colour favourite for 2018 right across high street and designer stores.
