For today’s post in collaboration with Karen Millen, I wanted to pick key spring pieces that would work in your wardrobe for easy every day wear, smart workwear and, in the hope that the world gets back to some kind of normality this year, some occasion pieces too. In autumn of last year Karen Millen extended their collection for curve and plus sizes which almost broke the internet! It was a brilliant step for the brand and for curvy fashion lovers. Their current curve range includes sizes 18-24 and with a view to extend their sizes further over the next while. Below I’ve picked pieces I hope will work for all fashion tastebuds and worldwide too!

The Statement Midi Dress
First up is the chic midi dress find. It comes a leather look belt with stretch back detail for added comfort. You can of course remove it if you wanted a different look to it. It’s a style that will work from now easily into the summer months styled with heels, ankle boots or trainers.

The Sleeveless Coat
My next choice is the classic sleeveless coat. This lends itself to many wardrobe possibilities. A quick zoom call? Throw this on over black jumper and jeans as seen on the model. Looking to for more spring inspiration? Restyle it with a cream jumper and cream trousers for a fresh feel. Give your look a more casual appeal worn open with blue jeans, or switch it up entirely with a split underneath to create a dress effect too.

The Trend Setter
Classic meets a key 2021 trend this year is of course the return of the boucle co-ords set. Matching sets are one of my personal favourites and a great way to achieve a last minute “put together” look. As an investment look you have great ways to maximise this in your wardrobe: Restyle the skirt with various tops, wear the jacket more casually with jeans or over dresses for a smart weekend style look or more on trend workwear style.

The Colour Block
Fit and flare to colour blocking for me is a match made in heaven. Picking classic colour combinations gives you both a statement dress in your wardrobe but also something with longevity too. These styles can be worn with heels or flat sandals coming into the warmer months and if you want to give this dress an added edge similar add a black biker jacket to it.

Knitwear With A Twist
Karen Millen has beautiful knitwear offering on their website at the moment cross both tops, dress and skirts. Again, I went for a good “ all rounder” find as a dress you could wear with trainers, or with heels. Their smart knitwear quality also gives more options to wear these styles in a work wear setting too.
